This post will conclude the photos from our trip to DC. I decided to merge days 4 and 5 because the last day was mostly spent driving home.
Very, very early on the 4th day, we took a tour of the White House. I didn't get any pictures there of course, since its the White House and they don't like people taking pictures there. After this we stood in line for a long time at the supreme court, hoping to get in for 3 minutes, but we didn't make it in because we had to run across the street and stand in line to take a tour of the Capitol.
My attempt at a picture of the group riding the train under the capitol. I kind of missed. |
We found John Mccain on the train right after we got off. |
We tried to see how close we could get to this squirrel before it ran off. |
After the tour of the capitol, we walked around to see all the monuments.
Group pictures can be hard |
This artsy picture was taken by my sister. |
Day for was the longest day and was very tiring. According to one person from our group, we walked around 11-12 miles this day! My feet were a little sore after all that walking.
In the morning on Day 5 we quickly packed up and drove to Gettysburg where we took a driving tour. Our tour guide was a little hard to keep up with but it was fun anyways.
